The first Street Art project was carried out in the narrow lanes of Hauz Rani that connect Malviya Nagar to Press Enclave road. Many people are unaware of these connections to the main road and access to Buses. The artists (Malini Kochupillai and Aastha Chauhan) stencilled the images of leaves of trees that earlier existed in the neighbourhood but have now been taken down in the face of growing densities and the taking over of public space by roads and parking.
The artists engaged the residents of this area in conversation about the state of mobility and connectivity in the neighbourhood through the process of producing the Art on the streets, doorways and walls of these people. The murals remain as an everyday reminder to the people who see it in their commutes every day.
